Testimonials

I have been at Elite Martial Arts for a little over a year and I have had a good experience. I have become much more motivated and confident whether it is in the dojo or outside of it. Additionally, I have met fellow students with whom I work well with. I have seen that Sensei Nick is very compassionate and dedicated to what he does with his students and I appreciate that. I am very fortunate to be a student of Elite Martial Arts.

Elite Dojo makes me feel strong and healthy, they teach kids to defend themselves. They teach you discipline and the training gives you a burst of energy. The Elite Dojo is the best place to be if you want to be strong.

I am still amazed at the physical limits I push, there has got be some magic in Elite Dojo that takes me there. It has been a blast for my entire family. We have enjoyed every day of pain and laughter at the Dojo. Truly a great family atmosphere but be prepared to work hard—there are no days off at Elite Dojo. It is a place to work on getting healthy, body and mind.

I think Elite Dojo is a fine and relaxing place to go learn new things and meet some great people. During my time here I have become more focused in everything I do, I am also in better physical and mental shape than most of the people I know. You learn more than just how to defend yourself at Elite Dojo, you learn how to work hard and help others. We are one big happy family here at Elite Dojo.

Training at Elite Martial Arts has gotten me back into the best shape of my life. I work all day at a large corporation, and being a former college athlete, I tremendously miss the athletic competition and tough workouts of playing a team sport. The workouts and full-contact sparring sessions at Elite Martial Arts have far exceeded my expectations. Sensei Nick is a great teacher and coach who constantly pushes me beyond what I think I can do. I highly recommend Elite Martial Arts.

I guess old dogs can learn new tricks; all it takes is one crazy Sensei and a large dysfunctional family. Elite Dojo has been a wonderful place to be. The hard work and great family atmosphere have made me push new limits on the old bones. The sweat, the aches and pains and occasional bruises are part of the perks of this great dojo. I think I am finally beginning to understand the deeper meaning of "system of systems". It has been worth every grueling day.

Once in a while, and not very often in this life, you will discover a teacher, a mentor, a spiritual leader who has the ability to convey the proper balance between the physical and the spiritual.

At Elite Martial Arts, under the guidance of our sensei, Nick Bajra, the student becomes more than a masterful martial artist. The student develops both body and mind. And together, the two become one.

What was originally thought to be simply a martial art, self-defense or the way of the warrior becomes a way of life, where sound mind and sound body blend effortlessly to produce a human being in harmony with their universe, what we know as our world. These words are truth. If you seek the truth and a better way of life, your path will inevitably lead you to Elite Martial Arts.

I came to Elite Martial Arts shortly after my mother sadly passed away. She was a strong woman who always stressed that I strive to be the best I could be in all that I do in life. Her passing left a void in my life, but I knew she would not want me to give up. I took my love for her and began to live my life.

I have always been active in sports since childhood. When I came to Elite Martial Arts I was looking for a challenge and a chance to do an activity that I could continue as I got older since I was no longer playing sports. I started out with a goal to become a black belt in Jiu Jitsu. Within 6 months I lost 40 pounds and began to see the truth behind the martial arts. Over the next several years, I discovered on a deeper level that the martial arts was not about fighting an opponent, it was about fighting myself. I had to conquer my own frustrations, fears, sorrow, angers and only by doing that could I be free or in essence really live as Sensei Nick often tells me in our conversations. Likewise, I admired the dedication of the Founders and Masters of our system, so I began training in all of the programs offered at our school.

I believe the Vee Jitsu Arnis Te system taught at Elite Martial Arts to be the best of the best in martial arts training. I have dedicated myself to building this system, as Sensei Nick has dedicated himself to helping me be the best I can be physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Elite Martial Arts is more than a place to train, it is my home. It is where I happily go every day to work hard with my family. Truly that is what we are at Elite Martial Arts—a family.

My love for my mom can be found in my love for the martial arts. Without either of these I would not be who I am today. It is my mission to make my mom and my Masters proud as I continue on this marial journey.
